Sarah’s day job consists of her dreaming of turning this writing stuff into a full-time gig.
in the inner suburbs of Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula but originally a country girl. Adores her floofy cats, Sim and Huey and her less floofy man friend, Cam.
Sarah is currently studying a Bachelor of Media and Communication and contributing to her HECS debt which when combined, is probably large enough to sustain a small country.
A weird, animal-loving, anxiety-riddled, non-meat eating, introverted gal who has seen some shit during her 27 years alive. Vinyl-collecting, potato-enthusiast, true crime-addict, self-confessed cat lady who is an advocate for mental illness and helping others through their journey.
Still figuring out where she fits into this madness that is the world today.
My Mental Illness
I was diagnosed with clinical depression when I was 16 years old. I started experiencing severe anxiety in my early-20’s and was diagnosed with GAD (Generalised Anxiety Disorder). I have also experienced PTSD (Post-traumatic Stress Disorder) as a result of past trauma.
I manage my depression and anxiety with medication, self-care strategies and regular therapy sessions with mental health care professionals.
My mental illness does not define me.
